When we kickoff hunkered down in March, I made all of our family favorites for dinner and simply went back to the basics.
Even over the summertime, I was keeping things pretty bones with my cooking. (I mean, I e'er do to a sure extent, simply I was really scaling dorsum more than usual.)
And i of my re-discovered become-to sources is a collection of recipes my Aunt Edith shared with me years agone.
Information technology's 1 she had given both of my older cousins when they start got married, and equally before long as I found out nigh it, I asked for a copy.
She'southward got appetizers and snacks, chief dishes, desserts, and extras like sauces, marinades, rolls and more.
In fact, I've shared many of these recipes with you lot here already!
Some appetizers I've shared from her include crab melts, Mississippi caviar and eggplant caviar, equally well as easy microwave baked brie with apricots and bacon. It's one of my favorite vacation time apps!
And today it'southward a new one I found recently, her hot artichoke dip recipe.
This is a super unproblematic titbit – just v ingredients – and it only takes about 5 minutes to prep.
You just add all of the ingredients to a basin, mix them together and dump them in the blistering dish. Tin can't beat that for piece of cake!
And this artichoke dip comes out and then creamy, succulent and flavorful. Oh, and it'due south nice and hot and bubbly besides!
It'due south perfect for dipping with crackers, baguette slices, toast points, tortilla chips or anything else you have on paw.
So while we might not be having holiday parties this year, we can still have good eats.
And this could work every bit slap-up for game day as for cocktail hour.

Notes on making hot artichoke dip:
- You lot'll want to purchase canned artichoke hearts for this recipe. Then you need to drain them and give them a crude chop to break them downward a bit. (You don't want huge chunks cause those will be harder to scoop.)
- You tin use regular mayonnaise or a reduced fat or calorie-free version, whichever you prefer.
- If y'all want to lighten it up a bit, I remember you could easily substitute one-half apparently nonfat Greek yogurt for one-half of the mayo in this recipe.
- If you beloved a touch on of heat like I exercise, you lot could as well add a few dashes of hot sauce to this mixture (or serve information technology with some on the side if yous have a mixed group).
As mentioned, this can be served with any scooper you like: crackers, baguette slices, toast points or tortilla chips would all piece of work well. Any y'all fancy – or simply whatever you have on paw.

Ingredients
- two (fourteen oz.) cans artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise (light is OK)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
For serving:
- Crackers, baguette slices, toast points, tortilla chips, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350. Spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
- Serve hot with crackers, baguette slices, toast points or chips.
Notes
